Leadership Tuscaloosa is soliciting participants from all sectors of the Tuscaloosa County area. Criteria for selection will include demonstrated leadership skills, active involvement in the community, and a willingness to invest the time, effort and energy required by the program. A conscientious effort is made to select participants who will represent a cross-section of the area in terms of age, sex, race, occupations and community groupings. The diversity of perspectives among participants generate much of the most meaningful personal interaction and mutual learning in the program.

 

Leadership Tuscaloosa will be limited to 40 participants and careful attention will be given to the candidate selection process. In order to meet our selection criteria and class objectives, an interview process may be used for final selection of the participants.

In addition, the program’s small, intimate classes are structured for meaningful interchange of ideas and views by all participants. Therefore, class members are required to be consistent with their attendance at all scheduled sessions and participate in related activities and assignments.
